Privacy policy

Buissy.com Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Buissy), the owner and operator of www.buissy.com and its sub-sites, (hereinafter referred to as the Site), is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of the Site.

To enable users to be able to take advantage of the services provided on the Site, we collect and hold certain personal information from software vendors as well as software purchasers and other users. Any personal information that users may communicate to us is maintained within our records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and as provided for herein.

1. Software vendors

Buissy may collect information about the software vendors who choose to register their products on the Site. This is necessary to enable communication with those software vendors that have registered information about their software products on the Site. The type of information that is collected and maintained includes the name and location and address of the software vendor, product information about their products and user information about the representative of the software vendor who shall be able to administer the information that the software vendor has submitted to the Site.

2. Other users

No personal information about Site users  is collected unless a contact form (which may include a subscription to the Buissy monthly newsletter, a request for information about a software product listed in the Buissy Software Database or a general request for information about in a particular category in the Buissy Software Database) is deliberately filled in. In the event of information requests about software products listed in the Buissy Software Database, any information submitted to Buissy shall be handled in a professional manner and shall be forwarded to software vendors on request of the user.

3. Information gathered from traffic information sites

Buissy may collect certain information about Site users, to understand what technology the users are using (including but not limited to the type of web browser, screen resolution and operating system) and the jurisdiction where users are coming from, with the intention of improving user experience and the services offered on the Site. 

4. Use of personal/company information for information sharing

Information submitted to Buissy by software vendors may be used by Buissy to keep them updated and informed about major changes to the Site or to inform them of potential leads.
Software vendors may opt out receiving this type of information by specifically informing us through the contact form or by sending us an email. Software vendors also have the possibility of opting out of other kind of information in the registration process or by logging in to their Buissy account and changing their privacy settings at a later state.

5. Change and removal of information

Software vendors may at any time logon and change the information that they have submitted to the Buissy Software Database. Software vendors may inform Buissy at any time that they would like to have their listing removed from the Buissy Software Database. In such an event, no information about the software vendor will continue to be stored by Buissy.

6. Cookies

In order to enhance user experience on the Site, Buissy may make use of cookies. Cookies are files stored on the user’s computer to store previously selected preferences. Information stored in cookies is only information that has been used by the user on the Site, including the user ID and password to access a password protected area of the Site.

7. Collection of information by 3rd parties

The Site includes links to websites operated and/or hosted by Software Vendors. Buissy shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for the privacy policy applicable on third party sites. Buissy strongly recommends that Site users study the privacy policy of any third party sites that they may access even through links from the Site. Buissy does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third parties without the user’s consent.
Furthermore, third party technologies may be used and implemented on the Site (including but not limited to the embedding of YouTube video). Buissy shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for the privacy policy that these technologies may operate in line with.

8. Collection of information from other users

The Site contains information about software vendors’ products, the name of the software vendor (whether an individual or company), software news, software release information and links submitted by the software vendor. All information regarding the software products and the software vendors is written and published by the software vendor. Buissy shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for any personal details included in the information submitted by the software vendors.
While Site users agree to use the information published on the site in a legal manner, Buissy shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for users’ use of this information.

9. Security

While Buissy has implemented industry standard technology to protect the users’ personal information from unauthorized access, due to the nature of technology, internet threats and illicit activities present on the internet, Buissy does not, guarantee the security of personal information.

10. Payments

All payments and refunds are managed by I’m Global, Inc. All transactions are managed on their servers and no credit card information is stored at Buissy.com. The information is gathered on the site and is encrypted and transferred to the payment provider using SSL. After transfer no trace of credit card information is found on the site.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended to be used by children. Any user that is under the age of eighteen (18) or has not attained the age of majority in terms of the laws of the jurisdiction where he is national, resident or accessing the site, whichever is the higher, is prohibited from submitting information to the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from minors and will delete any personal information of minors if we are aware of this.

12. Use of information in case of legal process

Buissy may make use of the information gathered in terms of this Privacy Policy in the event of legal procedures against Buissy, any user, software vendor or third party in the defence of Buissy or should Buissy believe that the Site is being used against the general intention and purpose of the Site or in order to enforce the Terms of Use applicable to the Site.

13. Access to your information

 Users may request to view what information is effectively held on him/her if any, at any time particular time. Users have the right to have any inaccuracies corrected and where applicable erased, if they are not already deleted.

Buissy may implement changes to the Privacy Policy as changes to technology, services or other things that may have impact any of the information regulated in terms of the Privacy Policy. Any changes in the Privacy Policy, will be included as a separate update in the News section of the Site and the Privacy Policy will provided with a different version number. Users are nevertheless advised to visit the Privacy Policy page on a regular basis and confirm that they are aware of all the conditions contemplated in the most recent version of the Privacy Policy.

Any terms that may not be defined herein shall take the meaning that is attributed thereto in the Terms of Use applicable to the Site or in the absence of any specific definition, the meaning that would normally be attributed to such words in a similar context.
